We came home from the hospital!!!

Here is a picture of our little guy in his car seat, getting his hospital tags cut off. (Click the image to see a larger version.)
We came home yesterday afternoon and its starting to sink in that this is real. I didn’t get to post last night because we had visits from two different home health agencies (Kiddo is on oxygen, and has to have IV antibiotics every 12 hours), so life got a bit harried.

You can’t see it in this picture, but Nathaniel has an IV port coming out the top of his head. It looks kind of pitiful, actually. Here is another picture (click to see a larger version).

Anyway, mom and son are both doing well. We are having a great time together. We go back to the pediatrician tomorrow to get an update on Kiddo’s pneumonia and lungs. I’ll let you know what happens.

We have a baby! And it is, by all surprises, a baby BOY, not the girl we were expecting.

Mom and baby are doing well, but I’m too tired to write more now. You’ll get to hear about the miracles (literal miracles) that made it so this baby is alive and doing well. We almost weren’t so lucky.
