A really long lineA really long line

Last night as I walked toward the train, I passed the Delta Center in downtown Salt Lake City. There was a huge line stretching around the Delta Center; the line was probably about two blocks long. Out on the north east plaza there were a bunch of trucks for the local radio stations (everything from country to alternative rock), all lined up. I couldn’t figure out what the line was for.

I’m curious by nature, so I saw somebody leaving the line (more than half way through the line) and walking down the steps. I called out to her to ask what the line was for. Her response? And I quote:

“I dunno. Some stupid thing that I don’t even know what it is even. Yeah. I dunno.”

So, I still don’t know what the line was for. And I guess the girl I talked to doesn’t either. And it only took her a block of waiting in line to figure out that she didn’t want to wait to find out.
